Brooklands College to host the 2nd Inter-College Bricklaying Competition at the Ashford Campus on the 14th April 2016. This will be a great opportunity for level 1 students to experience the often daunting task of competition. The inspiration for arranging the competition comes from Brooklands Bricklaying tutor; Christian Hatherallgood, after attending an Area of South East Colleges event on embedding competitions into the curriculum.

Several local colleges have confirmed attendance. We are also happy to announce great support from Construction Industry companies in sponsoring materials and prizes. MBH – Michelmersh Brick Holdings PLC have agreed to award a Marshaltown trowel to all entrants and a Stabila level to the top 3 places. They have also generously supplied the bricks that will be used in the competition.

A local development company called Burwood Rumsby Ltd have agreed to sponsor the trophies.
